In India, approximately 433 million of the 846 million internet users play games. This means that by 2021, approximately 35% of the population will be online gamers.
Even though gaming boomed during the pandemic, it will not be easily forgotten by consumers. Covid 19 was simply a catalyst for gaming, which Indians have always had an interest in but never realized. Furthermore, the gaming industry is progressing due to a younger population, higher disposable incomes, the introduction of new gaming genres, an increase in smartphone and tablet users, and a high internet penetration rate. It has become a part of people's lifestyles and will thus continue to grow, which is why we see a lot of investors interested in this sector.
